How often do you slow down, pause and just be?
Let's talk about the importance of taking time to slow down and pause plus 3 tips on how you can actually do it! And of course share some essential oils to support you as you take time for yourself.
Taking time to pause regularly can really improve your overall health and wellbeing.
Shifting the mind into a lower gear can bring better health, inner calm, enhanced concentration and the ability to think more creatively - Carl Honore
Right now is a great time to slow down and pause…
Take a nice deep breath.
Relax your body - let go of tension, invite softness
Clear your mind - let go of expectations, invite openness
Calm your soul - let go of stress, invite love
Allowing yourself time to slow down is one of the best things you can do for yourself. It can seem like one of the hardest things to do when your to do list is never ending but sometimes stopping has to be added to that to list and right at the top of it!
Because when you give yourself that time to pause you are able to enjoy your everyday life more fully as well as being able to be at your best personally and professionally for all the things you desire and love doing.
Some benefits of taking time out…
- It allows you to recalibrate.
- It refreshes your mind, body and soul.
- It brings with it clarity and energy.
- It reduces stress and overwhelm.
- It increases feelings of wellbeing.
- It allows you to accomplish more.
I think this quote sums it up beautifully…
nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished - Lao Tau
But how do you find the time for it?
Here are my three tips...
1. make yourself a priority.
2. organise and plan, just as you would for the other things in your to do list.
3. put the time in your calendar and stick to it just as you would any other appointment or event.
And a bonus tip...
4. use essential oils to help you slow down and pause.
