winter - a time to slow down

WINTER

A time to slow right down
To go within
To deeply nourish + nurture
A beautiful retreat

Winter is a beautiful season of slowing down.

While it's not my favourite season, in fact it's my least favourite, I have learnt to embrace it and enjoy it's comforting energy.

After the beautiful letting go season of autumn, winter allows you to go within and seek what will unfold for you next.

Winter is the season of stillness. A time to reflect, deeply nurture yourself and restore your mind, body and soul.

A time to quieten and calm the mind, to feel a sense of deep peace. With this comes clarity and a renewed connection to yourself.

From this place you can regain your strength and patience and connect to your own unique creativity.

Winter gives you the opportunity to develop new ideas and lean in to the things you really desire for yourself.

You can use winter as a time to discover the new possibilities that are within you, start delving into them and setting intentions. You can start getting clear on your desires as you visualise how they will unfold.

This slower calmer energy is reflected in the many facets of winter in nature – the innate beauty in the cold air, the ice, the snow. There is a gentleness and softness to snow, a cosiness to the cold air, a truth to the bare branches of a tree.

We can also see the fluidity of winter in nature – water turns to ice, signifying a transition, which is exactly what you can use the season of winter for.

Winter is a time for reflection, nurturing and restoration on all levels – mind, body and soul.

There are many essential oils to guide and support you through winter.

For winter this year I created a blend called winter cocoon. Designed to soothe, warm and comfort your mind, body and soul. It is an exquisite blend of orange, roman chamomile, cardamom, and ginger.

Orange for positive energy, warmth, joy and light-hearrtedness.

Roman chamomile for deep calm, peace of mind and healing your soul.

Cardamom for warmth, stability, calm and abundance.

Ginger for warmth, confidence, courage and resilience.

Together these oils are designed to warm, comfort and nurture your mind, body and soul.

They will help you to feel more grounded, connected and calm.

A beautiful retreat to encourage you to slow down, go within and deeply nourish and nurture your mind, body and soul.

This divine blend is available to order as an essential or blend or roll on perfume blend. or you can experience it in the winter cocoon seasonal signature treatment available at the wellbeing studio here in Canberra. You can contact me here to find out more.

Until next time, remember to choose what feels nourishing for you in this moment.
